Working with Framework Assessment Snapshots

In ControlMap, Assessments are a core feature for assessing where a company stands compared to framework requirements. Assessment questions in ControlMap are global and often crosswalk to or are mapped between multiple frameworks so that a single question answered once is answered across multiple frameworks.

ControlMap’s Assessment Snapshots allows users who have completed an Assessment to save a copy of the assessment answers for future reference. This allows you to build on your completed assessments for year two assessments (and beyond) without starting from scratch.

MSPs told us that refreshing assessments each year was repetitive and time-consuming. With Assessment Snapshots, you can now do the following:

  • Take a Snapshot to preserve a point-in-time record.
  • Refresh Answers and keep, clear, or update them as needed.
  • Update Scores & Reports instantly.
  • View & Restore Snapshots for historical comparison.

You can find the Assessment Snapshot feature within a Framework's Assessment as shown below:

Once clicked a choice is presented as shown below:

  • Clear all answers will clear the answers to start fresh. (Previous answer will be available on screen for reference shown in below)
  • Keep all answers will take the snapshot and keep answers

Either way, previous answers will be indicated from the last snapshot as shown in screenshot above.

The result

Save hours of manual re-entry while keeping a full audit trail. Snapshots make annual reassessments faster, more accurate, and easier to explain to clients and auditors — all within your existing workflows.

Below is the Assessment Snapshot shown in Progress History of the Framework Assessment home screen:

You’ll find the new Refresh button on the Assessment page by framework. Available for Essentials and Pro tiers (not available in Free).
