ControlMap Evidence is driven by a concept called "Evidence Requests". An Evidence Request is like a container that manages the evidence so that you may set custom settings like assignments or recurring schedules of evidence.
Once evidence requests exist, evidence files such as can be dragged and dropped into an evidence request to attach them which in turn map to Framework Objectives.
This help article will show you how to bulk import these evidence requests from a CSV file.
The example shown is CMMC which contains 320 Sub-Objectives with evidence needed for each so bulk loading these are very helpful.
Step 1: Go to "Evidence" page in ControlMap
Step 2: Add Evidence and select "Create evidence placeholder from file (CSV)"
Step 3: Import wizard starts - select your file.
Step 4: Map fields:
Note: Layout of the file as example removes the top levels 3.1.1 as example and will load the evidence directly under the Sub-Objectives. Optionally you can go the other way and import evidence requests under the Top Levels Only or a combination there in using 3.1.1 with or without [a] - [b] - [c] etc.
Description is Optional! The Only required field is "Title" but description can be helpful for guidance as used in this case. Feel free to map the description or ignore it - your preference!
Step 5: Validate will show green if all is good.

Note on Evidence Dates and Description:
Dates: If no date is set overdue will be shown
If Description is set you can see this within the details of the Evidence Request by clicking ... --> Edit
