Your MSP portal URL is the web address of your ControlMap MSP portal, the place where your team manages every client. You choose it when your ControlMap account is created, and it can't be changed afterward. Each client you manage has its own separate address for its client portal.

The MSP portal address and the region you pick at sign-up are permanent, so choose a name your team will be happy with long term.

Your MSP portal address

Your MSP portal address follows this pattern: <your name>.msp.<region>.ctrlmap.com. Here is how it works:

The first part is the name you chose when the account was created.
The region part depends on where your account is hosted. In the United States it is left out, so the address ends .msp.ctrlmap.com. In other regions it is added, for example .msp.eu.ctrlmap.com.
Everyone on your team signs in at the same address. It opens on the Dashboard.
The MSP portal is for your own team. Your clients can't sign in to it.

What you can and can't change

You can't change the MSP portal address after sign-up. The Settings › MSP Admin Details page has no address field. On that page you can still change:

Your company or MSP name, in Your Company/MSP Name.
Your logo, and whether it shows to your clients, with Show MSP/Admin logo.

Your clients' addresses

MSP portal addresses and client portal addresses are different things. A client portal address follows this pattern: <tenant ID>.app.<region>.ctrlmap.com. As with your own address, the region part is left out in the United States, so the address ends .app.ctrlmap.com.

Each client's tenant ID shows in brackets after its name on the Dashboard, for example "Sapphirewood(sappp)". When you clone a client, you choose the new client's tenant ID yourself:

It must be 4 to 11 letters or numbers.
It becomes the first part of the new client's address.
Available IDs suggests IDs that are free to use.

Open a client's portal from the MSP portal

You don't need to remember each client's address. To open a client's portal from your MSP portal:

Sign in to your MSP portal at your own address.
On the Dashboard, find the client.
Select Launch Portal. The client's portal opens in a new browser tab.

Launch Portal only works for people who have been invited to that client. To invite someone, select ... › Invite users on the client's card or row.
