About
The Huntress Managed Security Awareness Training integration (formerly Curricula) shows ControlMap whether your clients' employees have completed their security awareness training. ControlMap brings in your client companies, their learners and their training assignment activity, then checks completion. Training completion is evidence auditors commonly ask for, and this integration collects it automatically instead of by hand.
You connect it once, in the MSP portal, for all of your clients. Each company it finds becomes a prospect tenant, and the results appear in that client's own portal once you activate or merge the tenant. In the product, the connection and its sign-in button still use the name Curricula.
ControlMap asks Curricula for read-only access to assignments, users, learners, assignment learner activity and the account.
Before you start
You need:
- Access to the ControlMap MSP portal, where you set up the integration.
- A Curricula account to sign in with. The help panel on the Connect page asks you to sign in with a valid Curricula user admin.
There are no keys or IDs to copy. You sign in to Curricula on its own page when you connect.
Connect Huntress Managed Security Awareness Training
- In the MSP portal, select Integrations in the top bar, then select + Integration. If you have no integrations yet, select Create Connection instead.
- Under Security Awareness Training, find the Huntress Managed Security Awareness Training card and select Connect.
- On the Setup Connection step, select Connect to Curricula. There are no fields to fill in. Curricula's sign-in page opens.
- Sign in with your Curricula account and approve the connection. You return to the MSP portal. The page may refresh during sign-in.
The screenshot above shows the Setup Connection step before you connect. Next, set the schedule:
- On the Schedule step, choose a Day of the week and a Time of the day. Scans run weekly.
- Select Save & Scan Now to save and start a scan, or Save Schedule to save only. Then select Got It. on the confirmation.
The first sync typically takes a few minutes before results and clients start to show up.
What you'll see after connecting
Select the integration in the Integrations list to open it. The header shows its name and whether it is Running or Not Running. It has these tabs:
- Compliance Checks: the Passed, Failed and Error tiles, and the check "Completion status of Security Awareness Training (SAT) in Curricula". The check shows No Data until the first scan finishes.
- Companies: each client company with its Status, Last Update and Identifier, plus a Selected Assignments column.
- Learners: the Accounts, Customer, Assignment Available, Assignment Completed, Assignment Status and Last Updated columns, and Additional Information for each learner.
- Help: the integration's guidance.
- Connection: whether ControlMap is connected, with a Reconnect to Curricula button.
- Schedule: when scans run.
To choose which assignments count for a company, open the configure option in the Selected Assignments column on the Companies tab. The Select assignments list shows the assignments you can pick from.
Each company that ControlMap finds becomes a prospect tenant. For each one you can:
- Select Activate Tenant. This creates an active tenant and Tenant Portal, and uses a license.
- Merge the prospect into an existing Pro tenant, if that company already has one. This links the integration data to the existing tenant.
Once a client is active, the training completion results appear in that client's portal in Monitor, on a connection with a Partner badge. Clients can see it but can't edit it.
Run a scan, change the schedule or reconnect
- To scan straight away, open the integration and select Run Once. While a scan runs, the label changes to Running and a Force Stop button appears.
- To change when scans run, open the Schedule tab, choose a new day and time, and select Save Schedule or Save & Scan Now.
- To sign in to Curricula again, open the Connection tab and select Reconnect to Curricula.
Delete the integration
- In the MSP portal, go to Integrations.
- Select the trash icon on the integration's row.
- If the integration already has active client tenants, choose Keep data, delete integration or Delete data and integration. Deleting the data also removes the mappings and links created from it, and this can't be undone.
- Type DELETE and select Delete.
ControlMap confirms with "Successfully deleted the integration." If there are no active tenants, there is no choice to make and the integration's data is removed.
