About

The Breach Secure Now integration brings your clients' security awareness training results into ControlMap, so you can show that employees have completed their training without chasing the data by hand. You connect it once in the MSP portal, and it covers all of your clients.

ControlMap collects these from Breach Secure Now:

  • Your companies, which appear in ControlMap as prospect tenants.
  • The users in each company.
  • Each user's training completion.

The integration runs one compliance check: Completion status of Training Courses in Breach Secure Now. Once a company becomes an active client, the check and its results appear in that client's portal.

Before you start

You need the following:

  • Access to the MSP portal.
  • Access to your Breach Secure Now account, to get your Partner Integration Key.

Get your Partner Integration Key

  1. Log in to Breach Secure Now.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select Partner Profile.
  3. Select the Integrations tab.
  4. Enable ScalePad.
  5. Copy the Partner Integration Key.

If the key doesn't show after you enable ScalePad, refresh the page.

Connect Breach Secure Now

  1. In the MSP portal, go to Integrations and select + Integration. If you have no integrations yet, select Create Connection instead.
  2. Under Security Awareness Training, find the Breach Secure Now card and select Connect.

  1. On the Setup Connection step, paste your key into Partner Integration Key.
  2. Choose whether to keep Setup emails discovered as employees in ControlMap ticked. It is ticked by default. The note under it reads "Any new email address discovered will be added as an employee in ControlMap".
  3. Select Connect.

ControlMap tests the key before it saves anything. If the connection fails, an error message appears under the form. Employees that ControlMap adds this way are not invited to the compliance portal.

  1. On the Schedule step, choose a Day of the week and a Time of the day. Scans run weekly.
  2. Select Save & Scan Now to save and scan straight away, or select Save Schedule to save only. Then select Got It. to close the confirmation.

The first sync typically takes a few minutes before your companies and results start to show.

What you'll see after connecting

Select the integration from the list on the Integrations page to open it. The page has these tabs:

  • Compliance Checks: Automated scan results, with Passed, Failed and Error tiles that filter the list of checks. The check shows No Data until the first scan finishes.
  • Companies: your Breach Secure Now companies, with their Company, Status, Last Update and Identifier. You can search with Search Company.
  • Users: the users in your companies, with their Accounts, Customer, Training Available, Training Completed, Training Status and Last Updated, plus an Additional Information column.
  • Help: guidance for the integration.
  • Connection: the saved settings, and whether ControlMap is connected.
  • Schedule: when scans run.

Each company ControlMap finds becomes a prospect tenant. To use it as a client, select Activate Tenant, which creates an active tenant and uses a license, or merge it into an existing tenant. Once a company is an active client, its training results appear in that client's portal under Monitor, as a connection with a Partner badge that the client can't edit.

Change or remove the connection

Update the key or the schedule

  1. In the MSP portal, go to Integrations and select Breach Secure Now.
  2. To change the key, select the Connection tab, edit the field and select Update Connection. ControlMap tests the key again before it saves.
  3. To change when scans run, select the Schedule tab, choose a new day and time, and select Save Schedule or Save & Scan Now.

To scan at any time, select Run Once on the integration's page. The label changes to Running while the scan runs, and Force Stop appears so you can stop it.

Delete the integration

  1. On the Integrations page, select the trash icon on the Breach Secure Now row.
  2. If the integration already has active client tenants, choose Keep data, delete integration to keep the data it already brought in, or Delete data and integration to remove that data. Deleting the data can't be undone.
  3. Type DELETE and select Delete.

ControlMap confirms with "Successfully deleted the integration."
