Adding Users

To Add a user to a customer, you can add them one at a time by navigating to Settings -> Users and clicking the + Add User button.

Some integrations will allow you to add users in bulk by selecting the Setup emails discovered as employees in ControlMap button during the configuration of the integration.

Editing Users

When a user has been added, you may need to edit a users details or access within ControlMap. To do so, click the ellipsis under the Action column next to the user you want to modify and select the appropriate action.

The Sign In method associated to a user dictates how that user can login. For example, if the Sign In method is Username/Password, but you have Google sign in option configured, the user will NOT be able to login with Google. Update their Sign In method accordingly.

Sign in Settings

Within the Sign in Settings portion of the users page, there are several options you can configure.

The first option is to enforce MFA for all users. We recommend enabling this option.

There are four different sign in options to access ControlMap.

  1. Username/Password (Default)
  2. Google - If you utilize Google Workspace, you can allow users to sign in with Google.
  3. Microsoft - If you utilize Microsoft you can enable Microsoft to allow users to sign in with Microsoft.
  4. SAML 2.0 SSO

Team

Within the Team settings, you can create Teams. Created teams can have members associated with them.

When a team has been created, you can associate that team throughout the ControlMap product. For example when viewing a Policy, you can associate the Team created to the Policy.
