SPRS score appears incorrect

If your Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) score in ControlMap appears different from a manual calculation, this is expected behavior. The SPRS score displayed in ControlMap is accurate — the difference is due to how the score's starting value and individual objective values work behind the scenes.

Follow the explanation below to understand how the SPRS score is calculated and how to verify it manually.

Understanding the SPRS score

The SPRS score appears on your framework card for CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171r2. When you click the SPRS score, a side panel displays a breakdown of the individual objective values.

If you copy these values into a spreadsheet and sum them, the total won't match the score shown in ControlMap. This is because the SPRS score calculation differs from a straightforward sum in two important ways:

  • Starting value: The SPRS score starts at 110, not zero.

  • Objective values: ControlMap displays answered objectives with a value of +1 for readability, but in the actual SPRS calculation, those objectives have a value of zero. Unanswered or "no" objectives retain their negative values.

How to verify the score manually

To calculate the SPRS score manually and confirm it matches ControlMap:

  1. Export or copy the objective values from the SPRS score breakdown.

  2. Replace every +1 value with 0.

  3. Start with a base value of 110, then add all the remaining negative values.

The resulting total matches the SPRS score displayed in ControlMap.
