If your document acknowledgment percentages have dropped to 0% and it appears that users have lost their acknowledgment history, this is typically caused by an automatic reset configured in your onboarding settings. Your historical acknowledgment data is not lost.
Follow the steps below to confirm the cause and review prior acknowledgment records.
Who can use this feature?
Super Admins and Compliance Managers
Verify your onboarding reset settings
Navigate to Settings > Onboarding & Offboarding.
Locate the onboarding group associated with the affected users, and click the Kebab menu (also called the vertical overflow menu) > Edit.
Review the acknowledgment frequency settings. If the frequency is set to reset on a specific date or annually, ControlMap automatically resets all document acknowledgment percentages for users in that group when the configured date arrives.
Note: This reset is expected behavior and does not delete any historical acknowledgment data.
Review prior acknowledgment history
To confirm that previous acknowledgments are still available:
Navigate to the People page.
Locate the affected user and click on the percentage shown under Documents.
In the Compliance Details panel, review the Acknowledged and Acknowledgment Date columns. Previously acknowledged documents from past periods are listed here, including the original acknowledgment dates.
Note: ControlMap only surfaces the most recent acknowledgment date per document. There is currently no separate export for prior-year acknowledgment evidence outside of this historical view in the platform.
If your acknowledgments are still missing
If you've confirmed that your onboarding group is not configured to reset automatically and acknowledgment data still appears to be missing, reach out to our support team by submitting a support ticket.
