You can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your own ControlMap user by enrolling an authenticator app.

Who can use this feature?

  • ControlMap users who sign in directly to a tenant with a username and password.

What you’ll need

  • Access to the ControlMap tenant.

  • An authenticator app that can scan a QR code, such as Google Authenticator.

Enroll in MFA

  1. Sign in to the ControlMap tenant.

  2. Open the user menu and select My Profile.

  3. Select My 2FA Settings.

  4. Select Enroll in 2FA.

  5. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code.

  6. Enter the verification code from your authenticator app, and select Enable.

MFA is now enabled for your user. The next time you sign in with your username and password, enter the verification code from your authenticator app, and select Verify.

If your tenant administrator enforces MFA for all users, you may be prompted to enroll when you next sign in if you haven't already configured MFA. For more information, see Enforcing MFA for all users in a ControlMap tenant.
