About

The Nodeware integration brings the devices that Nodeware scans, and the vulnerabilities it finds on them, into ControlMap. It connects to one of your Nodeware customers and imports that customer's assets, such as laptops, servers and network devices, together with their vulnerabilities.

This gives you an up-to-date inventory and vulnerability record for your compliance work, without entering it by hand. ControlMap also runs three automated compliance checks on the data: one that fetches the devices and their related information, one that confirms vulnerabilities are monitored and inventoried, and one that confirms assets are monitored and inventoried.

Before you start

You need:

  • Setting up integrations from the client portal is part of the Pro plan. For details, see the Free, Essentials and Pro plans article.
  • A Nodeware API key from your Nodeware account.

Connect Nodeware

  1. Go to Monitor › Integrations and select Add Integration.
  2. Search for Nodeware and select its card.

The Add Integration window with Nodeware typed in the search box and the Nodeware card shown

  1. On the Connection step, paste your Nodeware API key into API Key.

The Add Nodeware setup page on the Connection step with the API Key field and the four steps along the top

  1. Select Next: Checks. ControlMap connects to Nodeware and saves the connection. The message "Nodeware connected. Select the customer whose assets should be imported." appears, and you stay on the Connection step.
  2. In Customer Name, choose the Nodeware customer whose assets you want to import. ControlMap connects to this customer and fetches its asset data.
  3. Select Next: Checks again.
  4. Complete the remaining steps as described in the Connect an integration article.

The connection is named automatically. To change the name, open the connection and select Edit name.

What you'll see after connecting

When you finish, the new connection's page opens. Its data starts to appear in Monitor after the first scan. Until then, the compliance checks show No Data.

The Compliance Checks tab shows the result of each Nodeware check. Use the Integration column and filter to tell Nodeware apart from your other integrations.

Disconnect or change settings

  • To change settings or the schedule, go to Monitor › Integrations and select the Nodeware card. See the Connect an integration article for the tabs on the connection's page.
  • To delete the connection, select the bin icon on its card and choose Yes. This also deletes its assets and their compliance status.
